Wow. Another week has zoomed by me. I spent most of this week sick. JJ was sick too. Took him to doctor's on Mon. He had mega tests done. Results should be in this week sometime. I didn't bother to take myself. I've had tummy trouble over 10 yrs now. Went to various doctors for 5. Lots of tests with "can't find anything abnormal". Whatever it is (or isn't if I believe the professionals), it's getting worse. Maybe it's time to drag my bones in again. Maybe it's all those potato chips. Haha. It's happy Dad's day today. I'm BBQ steaks for the hubby tonight.
Went out and played in the gardens today. It is H.O.T. hot today. Yeah. About time. I only got 2 carrot sprouts. Wonder where the rest went? Turnips are doing very well. Moved some around today. Flowers in the front are growing good too, so I put some more seeds out there. Oh, I had a potato grow roots so I stuck it the dirt. Nothing. So, I had a different potato grow roots, left it in the cupboard 2 more weeks and stuck it in the dirt. IT'S GROWING! I'm so jazzed about that. Never grown a potato before. Only problem is the only 2 carrots I got sprout right next to the potato. Humph (new word for sheesh?).
The two teenagers are done school now but for finals. Let the laying around, whining 'I'm bored', commence. Anyone want two unenthusiastic lumps to take up space and eat all your food? Kidding....maybe. Little one still has a week left. Really hard to figure out how to occupy his time. We've done pretty much everything free in Red Deer over the last 2 summers. I'll think of something.
Not that anyone has asked, but the company's doing pretty good lately. People are actually saying 'hey, I've heard of you guys'. Haha. We have guys? Let's hope it keeps up.
4:30 - Time to fire up the BBQ. Yum.
I bet those darn rabbits have something to do with the carrots going missing. Or maybe the potato sucked them up. Mysterious things happen in gardens.
ReplyDeleteThe doctors probably know something is wrong, but as they don't know what, they say its nothing. I don't think pain happens for no reason. There has to be something wrong - even if its something as simple as something the person is eating. I had to stop eating diary products for a long while to stop my stomach from hurting.
Then I just upped my fiber, and that seems to have fixed the majority of my problems. Perhaps it is something similar for you?
I know I can't eat ice cream anymore :( I did try the fibre thing a few years ago made it worse so I didn't stick it out. Maybe if I tried longer than 2 weeks lol. I find that if I eat small portions far apart it helps. But man do I get hungry!
ReplyDeletehey Holly! Amber see's a sho thai doctor. I know I didn't spell that right. He's darn accurate. Costs around 40.00 dollars to see him. I saw him andso did Oksana. We also see a naturopath but he is really expensive for the first visit. that's why I suggested the other first. They both do iridology and other interesting techniques. Just thought maybe you might want to give it a try to see what they have to say. Love Auntie
