Well, it's Tuesday today. Kids are done school now. I've been helping some friends move since Thursday. Oooh boy am I sore. No treadmill needed now. Our friends are moving from Strathmore to the Clearwater area. JJ and I camped out in our tent. The weather has been beautiful. Found wild strawberries yesterday. Yum. I got to walk a horse. That was cool. I got to watch some fireflies. Didn't know we had them. That was really neat. I have pictures of flowers and nature but I am too sore to load them. I came home to rest and wash. I am going back today till the end of the week. Hopefully all is done by then.
I have to say Happy Birthday to JA who turned 17 yesterday. Love you son.

Another Sunday
Wow. Another week has zoomed by me. I spent most of this week sick. JJ was sick too. Took him to doctor's on Mon. He had mega tests done. Results should be in this week sometime. I didn't bother to take myself. I've had tummy trouble over 10 yrs now. Went to various doctors for 5. Lots of tests with "can't find anything abnormal". Whatever it is (or isn't if I believe the professionals), it's getting worse. Maybe it's time to drag my bones in again. Maybe it's all those potato chips. Haha. It's happy Dad's day today. I'm BBQ steaks for the hubby tonight.
Went out and played in the gardens today. It is H.O.T. hot today. Yeah. About time. I only got 2 carrot sprouts. Wonder where the rest went? Turnips are doing very well. Moved some around today. Flowers in the front are growing good too, so I put some more seeds out there. Oh, I had a potato grow roots so I stuck it the dirt. Nothing. So, I had a different potato grow roots, left it in the cupboard 2 more weeks and stuck it in the dirt. IT'S GROWING! I'm so jazzed about that. Never grown a potato before. Only problem is the only 2 carrots I got sprout right next to the potato. Humph (new word for sheesh?).
The two teenagers are done school now but for finals. Let the laying around, whining 'I'm bored', commence. Anyone want two unenthusiastic lumps to take up space and eat all your food? Kidding....maybe. Little one still has a week left. Really hard to figure out how to occupy his time. We've done pretty much everything free in Red Deer over the last 2 summers. I'll think of something.
Not that anyone has asked, but the company's doing pretty good lately. People are actually saying 'hey, I've heard of you guys'. Haha. We have guys? Let's hope it keeps up.
4:30 - Time to fire up the BBQ. Yum.

Sunday
Hasn't it been a fabulous weekend?!? JJ is very happy he gets to use the new tent.
It just fits in the yard. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow so enjoy while we can.

Some how I managed to take a picture of my toes. HAHAHA.
Did you know I can't stand the ends of my fingers touching stuff. That's why I always try to have long nails. I also seem to have jobs that I'm not allowed to wear nail polish. I used to do my own nail art when I was a teen. Before it was popular. I'd cut up peices of scotch tape to make stripes and stuff. I don't do that any more but I still love nail polish.

Did you know?
I am a lurker. Makes sense when you know how shy I am. I used to walk alot at night. JA was a lot like me as a baby and wouldn't sleep so we'd walk alot. I like looking in peoples windows. I don't stop and stare but look in living rooms/kitchens as we'd walk by. Check out furniture, wall colours, pics on the walls etc. I do it when I'm a passenger in a car too. I'm not sure why. It fascinates me to see other people's stuff and taste. When I takes the kids trick-or-treating I'm always looking inside at the stuff. So when the internet was created I discovered I could 'watch' people chatting or read forums. That's lurking. When you read but never post. I like the link at the top of the blogs. Supposedly blogger 'knows' my interests by the blogs I follow and will randomly take me to similar blogs. HA! I don't know what my followed blogs are described as but last week I was taking to a bunch of crafty sites, later a bunch of photography sites (made me think of Amber). A few days ago I was only taken to sites in french. Huh? I don't read french. What made blogger think I could. One day it was all tech blogs. Boring. Today it's painting. Sigh. I want to read about people. I realize there are a lot of really dull blogs out there that no one even updates anymore. Sheesh.
Do I use sheesh too much?

Hey Blog
Hello blog. Did you miss me? I haven't been ignoring you but I promised myself not to post until the company stuff was done. Haha. Only took a week to do 2 hours work. Man, can I avoid or what.
Did you know there are rabbits in my area of town. I've been seeing them since JA was a baby. I finally got a picture of one of them that like to hang out in our yard.
The photos were taken through the screen. I didn't want to open the door and scare him. He hung out for about 1/2 an hour. I wonder if he'll eat my flowers when they grow? Yes, my sprouts have survived the snow, rain, sleet, and cold. Only 2 of the 9 hollyhocks have sprouted and none of my carrots. May replant those this weekend since we have about 2 days of sun due.
PS. Hubby is working graveyards this weekend so I get the whole, big bed to myself. :)

Did you know?
So while scrubbing toilets (it's funny what you think of while doing menial tasks) I decided to start 'did you know?' posts about me. I decided this because many people don't know that about me. The first did you know is that I'm am terribly shy. Hence the not many people know stuff about me. I am horribly, terribly shy. People freak me out. Now some of you might be thinking, HAE?! shy? no way. Yep. My nerves get so shot when I have to deal with people. For example, when I was 10 my mom took me and my brother to McDonald's for lunch. Mom decided I was old enough to order for myself. I refused and froze up. I begged her to order for me. She ordered for my brother and herself, then we sat down to eat. She pushed 5$ across the table and said when you're ready you can go and order your food. I didn't eat lunch that day. You might think, but you played flute in a concert band in school, and were a section leader. But did you know I never performed a solo. One time I was supposed to but 15 mins before I was to go on stage I went and hid for the rest of the concert. When I was about 16 the band leader told me I had to perform a solo that year. I freaked out and convinced him to let me do a duet with my best friend (she played clarinet). That was the only festival I performed without the band. But, you protest, you were an officer in CAFR. Yeah but that almost killed me inside. I joined because I was tired of being so scared of people. It helped a little. I still get roller coasters in my stomach. Sweaty palms. Aversion and avoidance. Yeah, I've done a lot of things that you might think only someone with a lot of confidence would do. I can fake it when I need to.
Jessica
For those of you that are following this blog, you may have seen some comments from Jessica. She is a young lady I hired to work at A&W when I was a manger there. We worked together for about a year. She even dated my boy for a bit. I have told Jessica before that if I had a daughter I imagined she'd be alot like her. Even though I am old enough to be her mother I really enjoyed her company. She did break my boys heart which I had asked her not to do, so I seperated myself from her. I did keep tabs as she will always have a special place in my heart. She contacted me a couple months ago and I responded. Life's to short for a grudge and if my boy could forgive her I could too. We had a lovely lunch together. I wish the best for her and hope some of my years of experience can help with her growing pains. She's had a difficult childhood and adulthood isn't much of a breeze either (as we all know). So this post is dedicated to my girl Jess. May you always keep your face toward your sunshine.

Burfdaze
Today is a very happy birthday day to KA and JJ. KA is 18 and JJ is 10. I get to take the baby to Shrek tonight. woohoo?
Okay, so dad got mad calls today. He's working now (7pm), so no Shrek tonight. But JJ got to pick a present and plan dinner so he's happy. We had roasted smokies, potato salad, and mixed veggies. Birthday cake and popcorn will be for desert when dad gets home. Then JJ has a field trip to Fort Edmonton tomorrow and a sleep over at gramma's on Fri. Ahhh, the life of a young boy.
