Lil'Bit has a new swing. Wheeeeeeee!

All swung out.

Been doing lots of running around with the kids the past week. School starts tomorrow. It'll be just me, KA and baby home during the day. What do gramma's do? Knit? Bake cookies? Sew little dresses? Build a puzzle? Haha write a blog? Went to the thrift store today and got some wonderful pink, puffy wool. Think I'll learn to make a sweater. I'm not posting if it doesn't work.But I have to finish the blankie first. This is taking a while. TTFN.

OPA!!

Baby has some interesting sleep positions. Here is Opa being baby pillow. Uncle JA finds a position Lil' bit liked.

Lil' Bit came to play in gramma's room. We played with sponge bob then she went to sleep. JA started his new job today. Yay! After he's done work we get to go to Edmonton to fix bro-in-law's hot water tank. Guess I'll get more knitting done on the ride. I'm making a blankie now.

Here's Lil' Bit and her new shoes. What a little dolly. We took the kids to Edmonton to meet some of the Morrow family. On the way back the kids decided they wanted to come to Red Deer. So Lil' Bit got meet her Great Gramma (my mom). Here  she is hanging on my couch. I'm having fun being gramma.

Stuff

Hey. So on Wed. I find out we are going to see Lil' Bit today (Sunday), so I decide I want to learn how to make baby booties. Haha. On Thurs I pulled out my Creative Hands books and start leafing through. I found a pattern that seemed easy and started knitting. That first booty looked a little odd. So yesterday I made another one and it turned out pretty good, so I took apart the first one and redid it.Taa daa. I really surprised myself. They look right. What a gramma thing to do .

The flowers have grown nicely. Next year I'll use 2 packages to fill it in more.

My bro came by last week end. I brought his daught (JD) over so they could visit. His other daught was here too (DK). DK tripped and fell onto the edge of a dresser drawer and split her knee open. She needed 3 stitches in that. I didn't take a pic of that 'cause it was kinda gross looking.Whee. Gonna shower and get driving. Hope to get pics of ME in her new shoes. Haha.

Grandparents!!

It's official, we're grandparents. M.E.B made her safe arrival 5 Aug 2010. 7lbs 10 ozs. KA ended up getting a c-section but is recovering well.

I haz flowerz

JJ was playing in the garden and unearthed a potato. Turnips are growing well. Hubby yanked one and we ate it. They're not ready but it was fun to eat anyway. Tasted a lot like a radish.

These are some of the new flowers that sprouted last night in front. Look, aren't they pretty?

Wal-mart had Jiffy pop on sale so we had to try some. WOW. Lots of popcorn and tastes good too.


Haha. Hubby went out of town and I was home alone. New look for me? Naw, I don't think so.
But it's fun to freak out the kids.
